Setting up your member portal + custom domain

How members book and pay, how to brand the portal, and how to put it on your own domain.

What the portal is

Every Kyndra studio gets a free member portal at kyndra.dev/portal/your-studio-slug. Members use it to:

  • See the class schedule and reserve a spot.
  • View their family's invoices and pay outstanding balances.
  • Add or update payment methods.
  • Add the portal to their phone's home screen (it's a PWA — installable, with offline support).

You don't have to do anything to enable it; it's live the moment your studio exists.

Branding it

The portal carries your studio's name and logo. Both live in Settings → General, under Studio: choose Add logo (or Change logo), pick an image, then Save. Square works best.

When members install the portal to their phone home screen, the icon and name match your studio's branding — not Kyndra's, even before they sign in. Settings → Member install gives you a link and a printable QR code that walk them through it.

Custom domain

To put the portal on a domain you own, open Settings → Domains and choose Use my own website. Type the address you want members to visit, like members.yourstudio.com, then choose Add website.

Kyndra shows you one DNS record to add where you bought the domain: a CNAME for an address like members.yourstudio.com, or an ALIAS / ANAME for a bare domain like yourstudio.com. There is no separate verification record. Kyndra checks for the record on its own; choose Check now to check straight away. Once the record resolves (usually about 5 minutes, occasionally up to 48 hours), Kyndra issues the SSL certificate and the portal is live on your domain. Your kyndra.dev portal link keeps working too.

What members see on mobile

The portal is fully responsive. On a phone, a signed-in member gets three tabs along the bottom: Today, Schedule and You. You lists the rest, including Bookings, Billing, Visits and Account.

The schedule on mobile shows a seven-day strip with all seven days visible at once (no horizontal scroll), then a list of that day's classes. Tap a class to see details and reserve.

What members CAN'T do from the portal

By design, the portal is read-mostly. Members can reserve and pay, but they can't:

  • Change their family's name or remove other family members.
  • Cancel a recurring membership directly. Cancellations route to you for confirmation — it gives you a chance to win them back.
  • See other members' information.

If a member needs something the portal won't let them do, the message icon in the portal header (Contact and your studio's name) opens a message form that lands in Leads.
