Adding your first class + recurring schedule

The fields that matter, how recurring schedules work, and what happens when you cancel a single date.

The fields that set it up

Open Schedule and choose New class (New visit or New session at some studios). The form asks for:

  • Class name — what members see on the schedule.
  • Discipline — Kyndra guesses it from the name until you pick one.
  • Repeats — Weekly, Every 2 wks, Monthly, or One-time. The next field depends on it. Weekly and Every 2 wks ask for Days, every weekday it meets. Monthly asks Which week, then one Day of week. One-time asks for a Date.
  • Start time — local to your studio's timezone.
  • Duration (min) — Kyndra computes the end time for you.

Below those come Capacity, Minimum to run, and Instructor. A studio with more than one active location also gets Location, and then the class needs one: a class with no location shows on none of your schedules. Tick Allow drop-in to set a Drop-in price. Room, level, cancel window, color, and the portal icon sit under Advanced.

Making it repeat

Pick Weekly and tick the days — Mondays, or Mon/Wed/Fri, or every Saturday. Before you save, the form lists the dates the class will run. If the class is a six-week session, set Last class (optional) and the series stops there.

The schedule is one recurring class; each date is drawn from it. That matters because:

  • Choosing Edit on a class changes the whole series. Past dates keep their attendance.
  • Dragging one date to a new time asks how far the change reaches: Just this day, This day and following, or Every week.

Cancelling one date

In the calendar, click the class on the day you want to cancel and choose Cancel just this day. Kyndra shows who is booked, what is refunded, and how many emails go out before anything happens. The confirm button reads Cancel this day, followed by the refund and the number of emails when there are any. Booked members are emailed, and the rest of the series carries on.

Ending a class for good

Open the class and choose Archive. Kyndra lists what the class still affects before you confirm. Archiving takes it off the schedule; past attendance stays in your records.

Arranging cover

Open the class on the day in question and choose Find cover. Kyndra lists who can take that date. Pick one and confirm Assign with their name; the new instructor and every booked household are emailed. A class with no instructor shows Assign instructor instead.

What members see

The class appears on the member portal under Schedule. Someone who can take it sees Book, which reads Waitlist once the capacity you set is reached. Someone who needs a membership or credits first sees View plans instead, and a class the studio books directly shows Contact. When every class that day needs the same step, the schedule says it once above the list, with View plans or Contact studio.
